IBM System Storage TS1120 Tape Drive

The enterprise-class TS1120 Tape Drive is a high-capacity storage solution, allowing for fast access of all your data. The TS 1120 offers a native transfer rate of up to 104 MBps as well as 3592 fast access, standard capacity and extended capacity cartridges. Designed to be shared among supported open system host on an SAN or between IBM FICON and ESCON mainframe hosts, the shared drives optimize utilization and help to reduce infrastructure requirements.

IBM System Storage TS3400 Tape Library

The TS1120 tape library is an external 5U standalone or rack-mountable unit capable of using up to two TS1120 tape drives. With a data rate, then, of up to 104 MBps per drive, the tape library offers high performance capability in a small automation footprint. For increased security, the TS3400 Tape Library supports drive-based encryption and a control path and data path failover.
